West Suffolk College As well as the main campus in Bury St Edmunds, the College has a presence in Haverhill, Mildenhall, Newmarket, Stowmarket, Sudbury and Thurston. Bespoke training, targeted at specific commercial issues, can be designed and delivered through a half day workshop or a fully certificated programme. The Suffolk School of Management is a Centre of Vocational Excellence for Management Training. From September, the School will be part of University Campus Suffolk, with an expanded range of higher level training courses in the management and professional skills needed for individuals to excel. West Suffolk College leads the Suffolk Workforce Development Consortium, a group of training providers who work with employers to meet their training needs under the Train to Gain scheme which provides funded, in-company training, leading to NVQs at level 2. These practical, relevant qualifications are delivered flexibly in the workplace. There is also funding to support national literacy, numeracy and ESOL (English for speakers of other languages) qualifications at levels 1 and 2 if this is provided alongside the NVQ. West Suffolk College has a proven track record of engaging with employers - from multinationals to the smallest start up - and delivering high quality training.
