West Suffolk College - Graphic Design excellence
Megan Claringbold won a prize for producing the best of the final major projects at the Foundation Degree Graphic Design show at University Campus Suffolk Bury St Edmunds at the end of May.
“It is a really high standard of work. She has worked fairly independently, without a huge amount of tutor intervention and she has done brilliantly. It is a very accomplished piece of work, nicely executed,” said course director Sian Horn. Megan said: “This piece of work is promotional material designed for a local Indie rock band. I have designed a poster for their tour, CD covers, T-shirt and the CD itself. “I don’t necessarily want to go into the music business, but I really like branding and identity stuff. I am going to do my third year at Anglia Ruskin University.” The exhibition was mounted in the new Arts & Sciences building, Leonardo House. This was the first time the final year show has been displayed on campus, and the venue was a great success.
As usual, the standard of work on display was very high, covering a range of styles and media.
