From the Building Site to Ballet

 

 

When a building student at Otley College puts down her tools at the end of the day, her idea of relaxation shatters the usual stereotypes associated with people who work in construction.

 

That is because this budding Billy Elliot enjoys a bit of ballet.

 

Jessie O’Reilly (16) is currently on a construction course. When she completes her studies she wants to continue to gain more knowledge of the building industry.

 

She said, “I would love to be a professional dancer or even one day end up teaching ballet however I know that the competition is extremely fierce and irrespective of how well I do, I want to use the skills that I am currently learning at Otley College to go on and become a developer of property.”
